India Press: Python released into jungle

NEW INDIAN EXPRESS (India) 03 October 00 Python released into jungle
Palani: A 13-foot-long python that was caught by the people was released into the jungles on Monday. It is said that while one Murugesh had gone to collect water to anoint the Muruga idol at the park in Vattaru near here a python coiled round him.
His cries brought some people who extricated him from the grip of the snake. The python was put into a gunny bag. Forest officers, who were informed, took the python and let it off in the Kodaikanal forests.
