In Reply to: how to 'freeze' frogs but still keeping them alive? posted by Siu on Aprile 03, 2000 at 09:46:37:
Hi
Nothing beats styrofoam boxes and ice packs. They can take cold temperatures for a while.
: I'm an exporter of captive bred bullfrog, I have a problem of transporting these frogs, their fatality are high due to the hot and humid tempreture as well as long journey(by road). Does anyone has any idea how to keep the fatality rate as low as possible? I heard that you can actually artifitially bring these frogs into a state of hibernation thus reducing the fatality rate? Is it possible? If it is, how? Thank you.
