Hi, I’m a Biology student at Sonoma State University (Rohnert Park, CA) and I’m working on DNA sequencing of skinks of the genus Tiliqua (blue-tongues). I’ve been in touch with a bunch of people in Australia, including Glenn Shea (not only an incredibly knowledgable person but a really nice guy) and I believe I can get a good geographic sampling of all the Australian species and subspecies with appropriate locality data, but I’m having difficulty locating similar samples for the Indonesian/New Guinean species. What I need are blood samples from skinks WITH locality data (or access to said skinks). I am willing to go as far as Indonesia and bleed skinks myself, if I can locate people who have the appropriate animals there. If anyone can help me with this, or has ideas of whom I might contact, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you very much.
