Okinawa Herping Info

If anyone has any experience herping on Okinawa I would appreciate any information that you could send my way. I'm mainly interested in snakes, I know that there are several subspecies of habu, some elaphe, and the mamushi, but beyond that I don't have any information. I can't seem to find any publications in English that help me out much, so any field guides or net links would be of great assistance. I've ventured out several times but with no success, if you know what type of habitats and collecting techniques work well please spread the wealth, also species information. Shane
