J. splendidia is ground dwelling, for example, rocky area of road side. Yes, there is a destinctive seasonal change. However, because they are living in mountain area, so it is not too hot in summer( what I mean too hot is 35C to 40C). Wanxian county of Szechwan province of China is one of the typical area that J. splendida living. Other place is Leishan of Guizhou, Shiquan of Shanxi. I hope the info can help you.

How many eggs is typical, how long do they incubate and in what conditions....This type of information would be very helpful. Observation of them either in the wild or captivity might give me a better understanding. Thank you!
