Hi all,I've got this spiny hill turtle for about a month now and am having problems regarding its diet.It simply is not eating.
Based on the info I got from the web, books and other literature,my turtle is supposed to be omnivorous, with vegetable matter forming the bulk of the diet.I've tried fruits(tomatoes,a bit of banana),vegetables(watercress, carrot, mustard greens) and Reptomin sticks. My turtle will not touch them.Sniffed them, but that's it!
I don't think temperature/climate is the problem as I live in the tropics and this turtle is a tropical species.I keep it in a 20 gallon tank with 1/3 water and 2/3 land area. It's now slightly more than 3 inches SCL but the plastron is still soft(I can press it in!).Is it supposed to still be this soft at this size?Anyone got any advice or suggestions? Thanks!
