just caught in singapore

hi i have just caught a monitor lizard at my house in singapore its about 2 feet long head to tail and i have put it in a good size bath tub about 6 feet and the panels from my old bird cage over the top i am lookin for any advice as i have no idea about this but want to keep it it looks alot like an argus but its much darker i would be very greatful to recieve any info thanks
