TAKE it to a vet or it sounds like it will die. It sounds as if he may have mites, also the feet not shedding sounds bad, it COULD cut off supply and make him lose his toes. I recommend that if this was the only problem then soak him gently for about 10 min in lukewarm water then gently stroke the old scales off. But this is not the main problem. You must take him to a vet or it sounds as if he will die. He sounds unwell and as I am not an expert that is what I would do. How warm is the cgae? I live in QLD and provide a heat mat hooked up to a thermostat plus a 60W light during daylight hours and this temperature suits them fine. Maybe he is cold? I still doubt this would cause the problems you described though. Please take it to a vet ASAP.

Melanie
let us know how it goes. If you cannot afford a vet or wont take him, caontact the nearest herpetological society and ask advice there. There is plenty of links to various herp societies in NSW. Call WIRES for help if you are really stuck. Dont let it just go on like that.
Good luck
