You can't seriously think the above post by Patty was not in jest, can you? If it was any more over the top it would be a Will and Grace telethon. Come on, man, read it twice--then think--before reacting. As a real "man's man" who is married, I found the post humorous. Furthermore, I'd bet her post was more helpful in presuading the girlfriend than anything that might not have contained humor.

Tactfully, tastefully done, Patty. Unfortunately, with this medium, it's difficult to practice the number one rule of writing: know your audience. On the other hand, Krobar, I must admit that it is sometimes difficult to sense sarcasm in e-mail. I just don't think this was one of those times.
