Hi Again,
My tank is a 20 high with the 36 watt kit over it.I set it up in january and living here in Iowa I don't have a fan on it yet.I will see what happens when it starts warming up here.I have it vented really well so the tank doesn't heat up too bad as of yet.................Mark W.

:::im settingup a 29 gallon viv, and iwas wondering how many watts should i go with a power compact light, i know they can get hot ( i have a salty tank and got burned by it) but they give off bright light which i know is good for some plants and moss. i dont want to over heat the tank but i want to keep my plants healty aslong with the frogs

:: I working on a 29g viv for some bicolors too. I went with a 55 watt kit from AH supply but haven't made the hood yet.I have a 36watt cf light on my kahlua and creams tank and it seems to work great.So, I guess it's up to you............Mark W.
