Yea my pump takes water in from the gravel up thru the water fall and returns it back thru the gravel...so I do not think it will need to be changet too often. But thought I would see if anyone else has ideas.

:I was getting ready to ask this question also. For my 29gal. I think in my case the gravel will filter the water for the most part, plus I add new water every other day due to evaporation.

::I have a 90 gallon tank with a false bottom and a pump running a waterfall. How often would I need to do water changes? Thanks for the help!
