Thermal Gradients

I've got the temp thing under control, it's just I wondered if I needed to throw an incandescent on top to make a thermal gradient.

:A florescent will raise the temps enough. At the moment I use a heat mat for my terribilis to keep it close to 81 or 82 during the late after noon and 75 at night.
