In Reply to: What kind of pump/filter to use? posted by dude3282 on May 02, 2003 at 17:58:42:
I've tried several different pumps. Right now My using Zoo-med 104's and AquaClear powerheads. I'm still not sure I'm happy with them, but they are the best of what I've tried.
As of filters, I use plants. All my tanks have an area planted to filter the water. Try Duckweed (Lemna minor?),
Limnobium laevigatum, Phyllanthus fluitans, Salvinia sp. and/or
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis.
Is it really neccesary to have a filter in a terrarium with moving water? I was looking at methods of moving water in a terrarium, and I'm sorta confused. What kind of models filter it and can be used to pump it somewhere? Can anyone reccomend something?
