Just got Eds Fly Meat media....suggestions???

Well I just made 4 new cultures with this stuff. It smells pretty damn good! lol. Anyway, this stuff seems to absorb A LOT of water. I make them soupier at the beginning. In your experience, do the tend to harden at all over the first couple weeks? I need it to stiffen like the blue stuff does so I can dump flies and not have to worry about the media dumping all over the place. I'm new to this stuff so any suggestions to starting a good culture with this stuff would be great
