It's about the same weight as powdered clay. I used well over 9 pounds on my project, probably about 13, but the area covered is around 3 square feet in all and I think I made the structure a lot thicker than I needed to. It was done more or less ad lib. I'm sure the organized guys could do a it more efficiently. Admittedly, shipping is expensive, so if someone like Home Depot would carry it, it would be a lot cheaper.
