Remco,
This frog look exactly like E. femoralis as it is pictured in the book Guide to the Frogs of the Iquitos Region, Amazonian Peru. In that book the femoralis have orange flash marks where as the hahneli have yellow flash marks. The flash mark in hahneli seems to be round where in the femoralis it is crescent shaped The book sites that hahneli has a slight blue stripe as well and that this is one of the main visible differences between the two. I hope this helps a little,

:I've got a breeding group of 6. Bought them in Germany from an Hungarian guy. He said they are pictus but I don't think they are. They don't look the same and they sure don't sound the same. Some people think it could be femoralis. I go for hahneli for know. But I would sure like to have some more information. Does anybody know where in Peru they come from??
:Greetings Remco
