Soil Mixes

In my new tanks I am using no soil. Only pea gravel from home depot/lowes. It needs cleaned a bit, but is fine. Most plants will grow in just gravel with high humidity.

:What do i need to make a soil mix? i would prefere to be able to buy every thing at local stores such as lowes and home depot.
