I'm of the opinion that if the ants that you obtain are from what might be considered a pesticide/contaminant-free zone then as long as you feed the ants to the frogs in a controlled, moderate manner, there should be no harm done.....I would also be more inclined to feed them to more aggressive eaters i.e. I would be comfortable dropping them in the frog version of the lions' den i.e. the tinc-tank.....less inclined to feed them to froglets ...obviously, only go with the little red and little black ants that you might find, not those large things that are also prevalent....dusting them will do no harm either......

:As an ant climbs up my leg I am left wondering the reason why European ants are not an acceptable livefood for Arrow Frogs? I am guessing it may be because they can bite?
