In Reply to: Soil Mixes... posted by Dozer on April 21, 2003 at 11:58:33:
In my first tank I used Jungle Mix. It can be picked up at a local pet store. It worked fine, but in my new tanks I used no soil at all. Just gravel. Most plants in that humidity will grow fine in just gravel.

:I have the follwoing to use in a soil mix...
:Sand, Oak Leaves ( ground up or whole ), peat moss, bed-a- beast, lotta moss I could dry out and place in the mixture if necessary, orchid bark something or another ( the stuff for orchids you buy in the stores... ). Is there anything I could use of these to have a soil mixture that I could use for moss, plants to root properly in? Thanks in advance...
