Females fighting any ideas???

Hi, i recently got a new female to go with my male and female i've had for just over a year now.They are in an 80 Gallon tall tank, fully fitted with branches and silk plants. My female puffed herself out and chased my new female round the tank when i introduced her. I didn't think that she would react the way she did so i was gonna get 2 or 3 more females but the shop only had a load of underweight males. Is this normal and is it because the other female is very dominant??? Any help on this situation will be appreciated.Gilbery007
