Just so we're talking apples & apples here, our place isn't one large open field. We have a couple of out buildings, a fruit orchard and approx 45 large pecan trees. We have started landscaping around the house to be more enviromentally friendly (uses less water, attracts more butterflys/hummingbirds, etc.)and we would much rather have the anoles/geckos than spray. I would rather attract "native" animals to fill the niche, but we are surrounded by open fields - not sure it would be crossed by anoles, etc. Hope this info helps.
