:They'll eat many kinds, but you'll have to be careful with feeding wild insects. Houseflies are ok, although they are known to be dirty, anoles are totally immune to them. Small moths do well, lacewings, mayflies, etc. I fed earwigs to my anoles before, and they had no problem eating and digesting them, but I wouldn't recommend you to try them, since they can be really pinchy to certain anoles. Grasshoppers are ok, but make sure they're small enough, since many grasshoppers can be large. Don't feed beetles, because they have too much chitin, which are very hard to digest. Spiders can be harmless, but don't try them, since they can be venomous, and will injure anoles. Bright colored insects can be dangerous. They can be toxic, so always avoid these as much as possible.

:Here's a very important notice: make sure that your garden, backyard, or anywhere where you're trying to catch wild insects had no insecticides used. These can be dangerous food sources for lizards.

:Have fun catching insects!! Make sure that they're safe though!

:Tim
