In say 95 % the death cause is related to stres (enviromental problems like to small tank, to much animals, being dominated, to cold, to warm, handling (!)...). Wild catch reptiles always have multiply parasites with them (even if the are captif borns; "free" of parastites is an illusion, even when treated). In most cases it are at least Salmonella and other parasites like Urotrema sp. and Oxyurid sp.. Probably one/some of the above standing cases are the problem or are at least related. A necropsy would say some more...
