I was looking at the brown anoles in the store today trying to find a female...the markings on the backs were different but they all had the red dewlaps...the store clerk said this meant they are all male...is this true? The greens are so much easier...the females (aside from *sometimes* having the white stripe) have a somewhat feminine look...unless the clerk was correct...all the browns look masculine.
Are the pores more prominent on a male the way they are with WD's?? I do not want to make a mistake because the male I have is very territorial.
