Naker,
What you have to do is to research case law. Case law states that if you are travelling (have suitcases etc..) in your vehicle you can have a pistol in your vehicle unloaded and out of your reach (trunk). This does not allow you to carry it with you on cuts. Several options are available. You can carry a rifle on your person while walking cuts. I would advise against this since you are walking with a "Spotlight" and a "Rifle".
Best case is either:
A. Get a conceal and carry permit for pistol.
B. Leave rifle in vehicle and grab it if you need it.
Hope this helps... Regardless of what the law states, case law is what you have to watch out for.
