A three milk night is a lucky one, but not unheard of. I have found 5 annulata in one night (1 alive and 4 dor), and have heard credible stories of others finding more than 3.
And the nights I have seen multiple annulata, I have found a lot of other snakes as well, so 37 snakes wouldn't be a stretch.
