:40 snakes total. Will be going out again next weekend. West Texas here I come. Will be my first time there. Plan on finding alot.

:Hate to burst your bubble, but you aren't going to have any 40 snake nights in West Texas. In most of the popular alterna hunting localities you are lucky if you see 10 snakes in a night, many people go out and see nothing!

:South Texas rocks (although a 3 annulata night isn't typical), but West Texas is much slower. Of course, some of those 5-6 snakes you might see could be really good ones.

I never been out there. Just want to check out different country. I'm hoping to find something. My goals are Desert Kings, Mexican Milks, Transpecos Rats, Bairds Rats, and Greybanded Kings. I live here on the gulf coast and find lots of snakes here but want to find somthing different. Wish me luck! I'll post what I find when I get back. Later! John Rhoads.
