: John H. is correct Cliff, his name was Yakov Peici as I recall, I met him when he stayed with Gene & Brenda White, who live just 20 miles South of me. He did remove the venom glands from hot snakes & when I saw him free hand 3-4 foot fully hot cobras at Genes house, not being carefull, I knew he was nuts. It was the strangest people/cobra incident that I have ever seen. A year or so later, after he returned to Israel, Brenda informed me that Yakov was murdered by a girlfriend who had caught him cheating on her. Thats about all i ever heard concerning his death. He had a unique knack for handling very dangerous snakes, showing no caution or fear towards them at all, seeing was truely beleiving, when he handled them.
