:Hi everyone.
:I wanted to introduce myself to everyone since I just got a g-b kingsnake and will therefore be frequenting this forum. My name is Joel, I'm 24 and I have 11 geckos of various sorts, 1 corn snake and 1 ball python ... I am familiar with keeping reptiles.
:I won this little guy in a raffle from my herp club, and am about to start doing a whole lot of research into g-b kingsnakes, though I have heard that their requirements are similar to cornsnakes.
:Right now I have him in a 10 gallon, on paper-towels, with 3 hides and a water bowl. I don't have a heatpad yet, since I got him after the stores close, but I will be getting one tomorrow. In the meantime, he is in my herp room, which is certainly warm enough to keep him comfy for one night. I don't know his exact age, but I would say he's around 2 months old. He must've been thirsty, maybe a little dehydrated, because the first thing he did was take a nice, long drink.
:I will be scouring the net tonight, and buying the appropriate literature tomorrow, but if anyone has any help/tips and/or links to good caresheets, it would be greatly appreciated.
:One question: other than the appearance, is there any difference between a g-b king and a regular king?
:Thanks,
:Joel
:I have a very lame digicam, so excuse the pics. Trust me .... he's gorgeous!
:
