We have had a problem with our 1 1/2 yr. old Gray banded King also. We tried "downsizing" her food prey, using chicken broth for scent, (she drank the broth, and left the pinkies alone!).
Finally after a month and a half, we put two live pinkies in her tank.... and waited... and waited! She finally got excited and attacked the first one... missing it COMPLETELY, and got her mouth stuck in the (indoor/outdoor) grass carpeting in her tank!
As soon as she got her mouth free, she not only attacked and ate the first one, she went for the second one and "down the hatch", it went. We were SO HAPPY, and tonight, even though she is in shed, she was roaming around and looking MUCH better!
Hope this helps...
P.S. She was always a good eater taking f/t "brained" pinkie mice, and now pink rats.
BUT... it's "that time of year". (and always make sure the snake has plenty of fresh water)
