there are strains of snake sometimes sold as "albino blairs" which are hybrids between alterna and ruthveni. some of these snakes contain upwards of 75% alterna genes, but the albino gene came to them from another species.

there are anerythristic alterna (both black gaps and 277) and hypomelanistic alterna (black gap). no one has seen an adult hypo as of yet (they were first produced 2 years ago).
