Obviously, many do this but some may not have thought of this option...
When setting up the container to incubate the eggs in, slightly dampen the medium, leave the cover off for a day or so while the eggs come out of Mom and when ready to park the eggs, sink a cup of water into the medium and cover the container. Evaporation will control the humidity and as the medium "dries" you'll see dew forming on the bottom and sides of the container. So far so good....Jeff
:I think I will switch to perlite next season. I appreciate your help. I not only cut a small hole but I also used a syringe, minus the needle to suck out some of the amniotic fluid to make it easier for them to get to fresh air.
