::go herping for an alterna. My problem is my night vision SUCKS..

:That's why we have flashlights! :)

Aha, that's what I forgot! Actually my night vision would require one hellova flashlight. Can you recommend one? I know I've seen a note on one of the forums that mentioned a near sun bright flashlight with a battery pack that attached to a belt or???

:: I also am interested in coleonyx & the west Texas types of sceloperus. Can anybody give me a general idea of where to look?

:How about West Texas? :)

OK.... dried creek beds, under rocks ...hey I'm really ignorant here...I admit it. I know there is somebody out there that can fill us in.

:I'm interested in Coleonyx too, but haven't found any yet (out around Del Rio a couple of months ago, which is not the best time/location from what I hear).

So would early spring be the best time? Again I'm playing the ignorance card here!

:I'd like to see C. reticulatus sometime. And alterna, to keep this on-topic!

Thanks Chris - when (if) I figure it out, I'll let you know.
Really enjoy your posts Chris, keep 'em comin'.
