:Well, that is a litle unusual for alligator lizards in my experience. Many will eat crickets well for years, which is fine as long as you are dusting them with a proper calcium/vitamin supplement. Yours may be suffering from some sort of illness and you should have it checked out. Stress could be affecting the diet somehow too, so make sure your temps are good and there are plenty of hiding places. On the other hand lizards are creatures of instinct and he may stop eating one food because it is not providing him with adequate nutrition. This may be an adaptational reaction which in the wild would cause him to seek food sources elsewhere. My advice to you is to get a butterfly net and some specimen jars (like an empty peanut butter jar with small holes in the lid) and go to a place away from habitation and pesticides and start running the net through some weeds and looking under rocks and logs for some food variety. If you don't have a proper caresheet on texas alli's just post and one of us will send you one.
::when i first got my texas alligator lizard i would feed him crickets and he would eat them up real quick and then like a month or so later he stop eating them, he wouldent even get close to them. Then i started to feed them those superworms and he would eat those up, now he wont even touch those. i dont know what to feed him. i would appretiate it if you people could tell me what yall feed yours, or what you could feed it.

:: THANX
