My friend had a lizard with mites a couple weeks ago. You should get him to a vet or a pet store that caries mite spray as soon as possible. I think that what they do is they soak them in a liguid that kills the mights, but i think that they stop selling the liquid so you have to let proffesionals do it. This is just my personal experience in CA though it might be different for you. One thing I do know is that you have to hurry. My friend waited for about a week and a half to take action and by the time he did his lizard was already dead.
