: I'm am not sure if this goes for all alligator lizards, but i know that you can tell the difference between male and female southern alligator lizards by their head shape. Males have cheeks that kind of jut out of either side of their head while females heads do not. i'd send you a picture of my male and female als but i lost all of my pictures.
