my father found a southern alligator lizard which was a HUGE male with a full original tail (very uncommon). he was 14 inches at time of capture. i kept him for a little over 6 years until he finally died. at the time of death, he measured from snout to tip of the tail at a little over 18 and 3/8 inch. u always wonder how big they would be if they had their original tails huh?
