Looking for herp work...

Hi,
does anybody know of any individuals,organisations,parks,herp projects,etc looking for keen learner enthusiast to assist them for any sort of herpetological work?

Preferably in Africa as i live in South Africa but also Europe or USA but im not choosy as long as i can work with snakes.

I have a B.Sc background in Mathematics and am a computer analyst by trade but want to change direction into herpetology which has always been a passion of mine.

Thanks for any response,suggestions or contacts advised
