After the building of the aswan dam and the expansion of cairo u will encounter no crocodiules upstream in the nile. Hoiwever in the reservoir created by the aswan high dam the crocodiles have been breeding explosively and there have been quite a few news stories about the fishermen arguing with the egyptian government as the crocodiles ( a protected species) they say, have been stealing their fish
