sick agama?

I had two red headed agamas and one died recently. He showed no signs of illness or mites or anything like that. A few days before he died he turned yellow on his head and tail and now my other one is too. I thought this was a sign of mating, but could it be some kind of disease? Anyone with any information, please contact me.
