Allow me to begin by thanking you for furnishing this website for novices like me and secondly for the opportunity to actually "POST" pertinent questions. That said, I have a couple of questions.

My wife & I have been traveling to North Africa (Morocco) for the past three years but have been keeping mainly to the cities (with some rural walks)but mostly staying in 5 Star hotels and not seeing the "Natives" if you will. This year, we would like to do a "walk about" vacation. We are both DEATHLY afraid of snakes (we are not "Herp's.") (I am in Nuclear Physics and she is in Economics)and would appreciate it if you could tell us what kinds of snakes (venomous) we might encounter in each of the three regions of that beautiful country.

Obviously there are Cobras about as we see the "Snake Charmer's" plying their trade. BUT....what might we realistically be careful of as we walk about parts of the Sahara as well as through the Rif Mountain range and of course even some of the major cities of North Africa?

Allow me to again thank you for your time in perusing my inquiry.

Dr's. J & J
