Several S. African guidebooks cover Namibia. The most ocmprehensive for the region is:

Branch, B. (1998) Field Guide to Snakes and Other Reptiles of Southern Africa. Struik, Cape Town. 399 pp. You should be able to get hold of this easily, I have even seen it in High Street book shops in the UK.

Also, for snakes, check out a book by Buys & Buys on the snakes of Namibia - sorry, don't have the reference at hand, and it might well be out of print. Check some of the major booksellers on the web: www.amazon.com, www.nhbs.co.uk, www.herplit.com
