whether you want to or not if you become a successful snake breeder. You do not need a degree in biology (but it will help) and a knowledge of genetics would be very, very useful. You should re-evaluate why you want to breed snakes. Most breeders do it because they love the animals. Almost no successful breeder started out by saying "Gee, I think I'll breed snakes for a living." It takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice to be a successful breeder. But, if you just want beer money, get a pair of corn snakes and sell the progeny to the local pet store.
