survival rates of relocated snakes, particularly bullsnakes?

We get a ton of bullsnakes turned into us (I do environmental education at a wildlife refuge) by people who find them in their backyards (usually with the query, do you want it or should I chop its head off?). I already have my quota for environmental education snakes. I have good territories to release them into, but wonder if they will survive w/o knowing where the hiberculum and other shelters are?

thanks,
kris
