If you can get access to Biological Abstracts, then it will include all the major herpetological journals (Journal of Herpetology, Herpetologica, Copeia). There are many journals that are not herpetological, but publish many herp-related articles (J. Zool., Lond., J. Exp. Zool., etc.). Biological Abstracts will have these articles too. Note that it just has the abstract in full, not the whole article. Any self-respecting university of size/influence should be subscribing to hard copy as well as electronic of BioAbs.
