I have never heard about micro chipping being required? Are you sure? Why?
Python Regius is the most popular pet snake on the planet . They are appendix 2 so any shipping between countries will require and export permit from each country.
So taking them to Mexico will require a US export CITES.
Now when you breed them, you would need a Mexican CITES export permit to ship them out of Mexico.
I'm in Canada, and it's similar here, but we certainly dont micro chip animals, so unless that is a new Mexican requirement
than I suspect it's incorrect.
:I am moving to mexico and I have a collection of ball pythons that I am taking with me.. I plan on breeding them down there and would like to be able to sell them up here in the states if I need to.
:The following is all I know at this point, correct me if I am wrong and please plug in any advise.
:I need a US/Cites import/export permit, a Mexico/Cites import/export permit, the animals must be microchiped.
:Thanks for any help..
