Asian turtles adopted into Appendix II

Twelve proposals to protect over-exploited Asian turtles were adopted into CITES appendix II today.

These included: Heosemys grandis, H. spinosa, H. leytensis, H. depressa, six species of Kachuga, Mauremys annamensis, Leucocephalon yuwonoi, Heiremys annandalii, Platysternon, Orlitia, Pyxidea, Siebenrockiella, Chitra ssp., and Pelochelys ssp.
