Some experts consider Cumberland Slider to have been a hybrid once, thousands of years ago, who population had stablized and where the blood line began to breed true replicas with little variation in the pattern. The guatamalan Slider is also thought to be such a case where Venusta and Greyi had onced cross breed, but the population stablized to become a new subspecies. Scientist are working on naming it soon, but must find a local first.
