Identify this Northern Alabama snake

:You didn't give us much to go on, but due to the fact that you found it under a rock in North Alabama, my first guess would be a Midland Brown Snake (Storeria dekayi wrightorum). A little better description or a photo would help positively ID the snake.


A Brown Snake would also be my first guess as well. Search the net for a pic and let us know what you think. Check out chicagoherp.org. I know they have a photo there.
