My wife, from Newfoundland in Canada (No snakes at all!), found this in the garage this morning and freaked. It is the first snake she has ever been in close proximity to (6") outside of a tank. Please help me identify it and where it likes to live so I can repatriate it. It is in the bottom of a 21 gallon plastic box and measures about 16-18" long. It was fairly timid when I flicked it into the box from the plastic rake...

BTW I am in Houston Texas

Thanks
::Stephen
